We’ve been sharing modified audio recordings for 5 weeks now, and it’s time we turned our attention to publishers. Yes that’s right - Pex can identify uses of compositions - like cover songs, live recordings, and interpolations. Because of these capabilities, we’re thrilled to share that we are the sole ACR provider initially selected for The MLC’s Supplemental Matching Network.
In celebration of this partnership, which will help publishers and songwriters get their unclaimed royalties, we’ve identified a few cover songs for this week’s roundup. These covers have high streams and are on multiple DSPs, but they don’t have linked ISWCs, so songwriters aren’t getting paid.
If you’re a publisher, let’s talk. And if you know a publisher who wants to claim their missing royalties, tell them to sign up for this newsletter.
